“The temperament section described my four-year-old exactly — Water Day Master with Fire Moon. 'She'll feel everything twice — once when it happens, once when she puts words on it.' That's her.” — PARENT · PISCES SUN
“My son's chart came back as Wood Day Master with Saturn-heavy emotional structure. The reading explained why he needs structure to feel safe enough to play — finally understood why our house rules matter to him.” — PARENT · CAPRICORN MOON
“The 'quiet gifts' section was the moment I cried. It named the thing my daughter does that nobody notices but me. Suddenly I had words for the thing I'd been trying to protect in her.” — PARENT · CHILD'S NATAL READING

QUESTIONS

What parents often ask.

Does my child need an exact birth time?
An exact time is helpful but not required. Sun, Moon, and the Bazi Day Master are reliable from the date alone — for many families that is enough. The Ascendant (your child's outward-facing temperament) changes one degree every four minutes, so it does need a precise time. If you don't have it, tick the box that says you don't know the exact time and the reading will focus on what we can know firmly. You can always read more on our methodology.
Is this suitable for a teenager?
Yes, with one note. This reading is written for parents of children roughly 0 to 14 — it speaks about a temperament that is still developing. For teenagers nearing adulthood, the full Cosmos Daily natal reading is more appropriate; it speaks directly to the seeker rather than the parent, and uses a more strategic voice.
How is this different from your full natal reading?
The full natal reading speaks directly to the adult who paid for it — it makes strategic claims, names shadow patterns, and uses directive language. This reading is parent-facing. It treats the child as a whole person, names their gifts rather than their wounds, and gives the parent things they can use on a Tuesday afternoon. There is no shadow-work, no fated-feeling claims, no language about what the child must overcome. It is precise about astrology and warmer in voice — the same care a thoughtful pediatrician brings to a well-child visit.
What if my child is adopted and I don't have exact birth data?
You can still get a meaningful reading if you have at least the birth date and approximate location. Without an exact time, the reading focuses on Sun, Moon, and Bazi Day Master — these remain accurate. Many adoptive families use the time and place recorded on the adoption paperwork. If you only have a year and a country, this reading isn't the right product for you — write to hello@cosmosdaily.co and we'll suggest something better suited.
Can I gift this to another parent?
Yes — many people do. New-baby gifts, first-birthday gifts, gifts for a friend who just adopted. You enter the child's birth data, receive the reading, and forward the page or a screenshot to the recipient. The reading is yours to share.
Is the language age-appropriate to share with my child?
The reading is written for adults. Nothing in it is inappropriate — no shadow-work, no death imagery, no language about wounds or trauma — but the vocabulary assumes an adult reader. For older children (around 10+) you can read sections aloud or paraphrase. For younger ones, hold it in mind as you parent — a frame, not a script.
What about Bazi — what's the Day Master?
The Day Master is the central concept of the Chinese Four Pillars of Destiny system — the Heavenly Stem of the day the child was born, classified as one of ten archetypes (Yang Wood, Yin Wood, Yang Fire, etc.). It's the Eastern equivalent of a Sun sign, but it works differently — it describes the child's underlying constitution: what element they are, whether that element is strong or needs support, and what the surrounding pillars feed or starve. The full Bazi reading is a separate product that goes deeper.
