Opposition deaths

September 11 Attacks

Saturn Opposite Pluto (institutional authority vs. destructive power)

On September 11, 2001, al-Qaeda terrorists hijack four commercial airplanes. Two crash into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York; one hits the Pentagon; one crashes in Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people perish. The attacks reshape global geopolitics, trigger the War on Terror, and lead to invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.

Saturn rules institutions, authority, and infrastructure (buildings). Pluto rules death, transformation through destruction, and power plays hidden in shadows. Their opposition creates a collision: invisible enemies (Pluto) destroy visible institutions (Saturn). The attack targets the economic center of US power. Pluto's violence shatters Saturn's sense of security and institutional trust.
