The love calculator that uses real planets

Most love calculators add up the letters in your names. This one computes where Venus — the love planet — actually stood on each of your birthdays, compares the two placements, and shows you exactly how the score is built. A real measurement, honestly labeled as a shallow one: the deep version is one click further.

Why this one is different

A name-based love calculator is a coin flip in a costume — change a nickname, change your fate. This page does a small, real thing instead: it computes each person’s Venus sign from planetary positions (Keplerian orbital elements, accurate to half a degree), compares the two by element and temperament, and measures the actual angle between the two Venus positions — the same angles astrologers call conjunctions, trines, and squares. The method sits in the open, under the score.

And then it tells you the truth: two birthdays is one planet of a two-hundred-planet conversation. For the real reading — birth times, places, every planet, the bond’s full geometry — there is synastry. For your own love pattern, partner optional, there is the love chart.

Frequently asked questions

How is this love calculator different from the name ones?
Name calculators sum the letters in two names — entertainment with no input from reality. This one computes where Venus actually stood on each birthday and scores the comparison by declared rules. Still a simplification — but a simplification of something real.
Is a love calculator accurate?
No two-input calculator can be accurate about a relationship, and you should distrust any that claims otherwise. This one offers honest inputs and an auditable method — and points you to the full two-chart instrument when you want the real reading.
What is a Venus sign?
The zodiac sign Venus occupied at your birth — how you love, as distinct from who you are. It is the first placement working astrologers check for relationships, and most people have never looked theirs up. All twelve, explained →
What do the temperaments mean?
Each Venus sign's element maps to one of four love temperaments — the Spark (passion-led), the Anchor (devotion-led), the Mirror (mind-led), the Deep (feeling-led). Matching or compatible temperaments score higher; the mapping is fixed and identical for every pair.
