Oklahoma City Bombing

Pluto in Sagittarius / Mars Square Saturn

Timothy McVeigh detonated a truck bomb outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 people including 19 children. The attack was the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in US history at that time. The bombing revealed the existence of a violent domestic extremist movement and shattered the assumption that terrorism was exclusively a foreign threat.

Pluto had entered ideological Sagittarius, intensifying extremist belief systems and their violent expression. Mars squared Saturn, creating volatile tension between aggressive impulse and institutional targets. The square channeled anti-government rage (Mars) against federal structures (Saturn), and Pluto in Sagittarius ensured the violence was driven by absolutist ideology — McVeigh saw himself as a patriotic warrior against tyranny.
