Venus Conjunct Mars in Synastry

In synastry, Venus is the love-style — how someone gives affection, what they find beautiful, how they want to be cherished, and Mars is the drive — how someone pursues, what they desire, the engine of action and want. When they are conjunct, the two sit on the same degree and fuse into a single current — the most intense contact, for better and worse. When one person's Venus sits on the other's Mars, the affection one offers is exactly the desire the other carries. It is the classic attraction signature in synastry — a pull that is physical, immediate, and hard to explain to anyone outside it.

Measure from the exact degrees, not just the signs: a Venus at 2° Leo and a Mars at 28° Leo share a sign but not a conjunction.

No aspect lives alone. Venus conjunct Mars behaves very differently depending on the condition of the two planets involved. If the Mars is natally harsh (square Saturn, conjunct Pluto), the desire arrives with more force and more control in it, and the Venus person should watch how pursuit behaves when it is told no.
