Mercury passes retrograde Venus at 23:59 UTC (early October 7 in Europe and Asia). A natural moment for the conversation you have been putting off about love or money.

This is the inferior conjunction, the midpoint of the Venus retrograde, when Venus passes between the Earth and the Sun and disappears from the evening sky before reappearing as the morning star.

Still retrograde, Venus slips back into Libra at 09:09 UTC. The focus shifts from private desire (Scorpio) to partnership and fairness (Libra).

The Full Moon is exact at 04:11 UTC, which is late on October 25 in the Americas. Taurus is the other sign Venus rules, so both of this month's lunations fall in Venus signs while Venus is retrograde. The Sun squares Pluto the same day, at 3° Scorpio and 3° Aquarius.

Retrograde Mercury at 18° Scorpio squares Mars at 18° Leo. The two first squared on October 2 at 2°; this second contact is read as the argument coming back for a second round.

Mercury's third retrograde of 2026 runs from October 24 to November 13 (15:59 UTC), moving back from 20°58' to 5°02' Scorpio. For three weeks, Mercury and Venus are both retrograde: from October 24 until Mercury turns direct on November 13, the day before Venus does.
