What is Hod?
Hod — Splendor — is the Sephirah of intellect and articulate form. It corresponds to Mercury, to language, magic, and the principle that makes reality knowable through symbol. Hod sits at the bottom of the Pillar of Severity, opposite Netzach. Where Netzach feels, Hod thinks; where Netzach overflows, Hod analyzes. The two are designed to balance each other.
