Tiphareth Beauty
Tiphareth is the sixth sephirah of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life — Beauty, ruled by the Sun, the central hub of the Tree where every other sephirah converges. The Sun, the heart, the central hub of the Tree. The point where every other sephirah converges.
What is Tiphareth?
Tiphareth — Beauty — is the sixth sephirah, the radiant center of the Tree. Eight of the twenty-two paths converge on Tiphareth — more than any other sephirah — making it the great hub through which Kether's light reaches the lower world and through which the lower world reaches back toward Kether. It is the heart of the Tree in the literal anatomical sense as well as the symbolic one.
Tiphareth corresponds to the Sun — Shemesh — the source of life, the central star, the king. Where Kether is pure being beyond manifestation, Tiphareth is being made visible — the divine that has descended far enough into form to be seen, loved, and known. This is why Tiphareth is the seat of the Christ-consciousness in Christian Kabbalah, the place of the Beloved in Sufi and devotional Kabbalah.
On the Middle Pillar, Tiphareth mediates between Kether above and Yesod below — between the unmanifest source and the lunar foundation. Spiritual ascent on the Tree very often means reaching Tiphareth as the first true initiation: the moment a soul recognizes its own divine center. From Tiphareth the journey can continue upward, but no real ascent happens that bypasses the heart.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Tiphareth in Kabbalah?
Tiphareth (תִּפְאֶרֶת, 'beauty') is the sixth sephirah on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life — the Sun, the heart-center, and the great hub through which all the other sephirot communicate. It is the most-connected sephirah on the Tree, with eight of the twenty-two paths converging on it, and represents the awakened self in service to the Great Work.
Which planet corresponds to Tiphareth?
Tiphareth corresponds to the Sun (Shemesh in Hebrew) — the central star, the source of life and visibility, the king. Strong Sun placements in a natal chart, especially the Sun on an angle or conjunct the Ascendant, indicate a Tiphareth-active soul.
Why is Tiphareth called the heart of the Tree?
Tiphareth is the literal anatomical heart-correspondence (heart and solar plexus) and the symbolic heart of the Tree because eight of the twenty-two paths converge on it — more than any other sephirah. It mediates Kether's light to the lower sephirot and channels the lower world back toward the source.
What is the spiritual meaning of Tiphareth?
Tiphareth represents the awakened self: the moment a soul recognizes its own divine center and begins to act from the heart rather than the periphery. In Christian Kabbalah it is the seat of the Christ-consciousness; in devotional Kabbalah it is the Beloved. The virtue is Devotion to the Great Work; the vice is Pride.
How is Tiphareth shown in a birth chart?
Every birth chart has a Tiphareth signature because every chart has a Sun. The Tree of Life Calculator maps the Sun's placement to the eight Tarot paths converging on Tiphareth, showing exactly which channels light your heart-center and where the work of awakened self is structured into your nature.
